How do I create an equal relationship with my man?
My man is an old fashioned guy. He thinks that women are supposed to do whatever the guy says. He expects to be waited on all the time, and if i say no he gets mad and says im being grouchy. It’s not that, I just want to be treated right. How do I show him the I wanna walk beside him, and not behind him?
Sweetie … if you go fishing at the lake with a pole that has a worm on it, you don’t go fishing hoping to catch a chicken, do you?
When you go shopping for shoes, you don’t buy a pair of black stilettos and then complain that they’re not red flats, right?
You don’t knock on a wall and then expect someone to open it … but that’s exactly what you’re doing expecting this man to change his nature.
This IS WHO HE IS!
If you can’t accept him and his views, then why are you with him? PLEASE don’t be another example of a girl who thinks she can change a man, because you can’t. THIS is who he is, ok? He’s a puppy, and no matter how much you like kittens, he’s never gonna sit in your lap and purr.
A man like that is not someone that I would want to look at adoringly, and be all gooey over for the rest of my life.
You should be asking yourself not how to create equality, but why do you think you should work so hard for it!?!?! This isn’t the guy for you.
